TLC Content

Course content related to each module / session.
Access is given to registered course participants only.
The cohort for The Learning Collective 2025 is around 70 participants from across the Central, Southern Counties and Eastern Baptist Associations (and others). It is delivered using a hybrid approach and we are encouraging people to gather at one of six host venues:

Kidlington Baptist Church - Southern Counties Baptist Association
Wokingham Baptist Church - Southern Counties Baptist Association
Woodford Baptist Church - London Baptist Association
Great Shelford Free Church - Eastern Baptist Association
 
You are encouraged to meet at your host venue at 6.30 pm for light refreshments. The sessions begin promptly at 7 p.m. and end at 9 p.m. In each venue, there will be a facilitator to host the conversations and help facilitate the space. I will be leading the first module on Reflective Practice and will be overseeing the TLC programme. Each month I will travel and join you all in person on a rotation basis. Over the course of TLC, you can expect to meet with other colleagues from Regent’s Park College, Southern Counties and Central Baptist Associations, and Baptists Together.

A note about time-requirements...
Modules vary but we usually expect about 4 hours pre-reading per session. Some of this will be set by the module tutor, but we also encourage you to do other reading based the recommended reading list, or your own needs.
Assignments...
For those doing the assignments, these are usually 1500 word essays, assessed at 'Level 3' so this would normally take about 6 to 10 hours work in total:
  • Reasearch and Gathering Resources 2-3 hours
  • Planning and Outlining 1-2 hours
  • Drafting / Writing 3-4 hours
  • Editing and Referencing 1-2 hours
